Announcement of Award - EEHS Task Order 007

CCI has been awarded a task order to provide professional epidemiologic consultation and technical assistance to the Division of Emergency and Environmental Health Services (EEHS) Healthy Community Design Initiative (HCDI) to support the achievement of CDC’s public health goals related to chronic disease, injury, environmentally mediated diseases, and other health conditions affected by the built environment. Consultation provided will include, but is not limited to, furthering an understanding of the relationship between health and community design in order to better describe and prioritize built environment factors that affect health;  providing consultation and assistance for the establishment of a sustainable program through resource and strategic partnership development, capacity building, and communication activities; and supporting various Initiative activities (e.g., surveillance, evaluation, health impact assessment).

Announcement of Award - EEHS Task Order 006

CCI has been awarded a task order to convene a panel of  Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review the adequacy and effectiveness of the U.S. Army’s plans and current programs for the mitigation, prevention, and control of chemical agents and associated hazards within Chemical Agent Disposal Facilities.  The SMEs, knowledgeable in a variety of chemical weapon elimination safety related disciplines, will provide individual recommendations and observations in regards to ongoing operations, upcoming closure activities, and identify corrective actions based on their individualized expertise. These individual reviews and assessments will be summarized into “Focus Area” paper, by topic area (e.g., the Safety Management System;  Operation Procedures and Safe Work Practices; Training; Incident Investigation and Correction; etc). These focus area papers will be reviewed by the members versed in assessing worker/public risk to determine the risk significance of current practices and of recommended changes. The “Focus Area” papers and the risk significance assessment report will be provided to the entire Panel for final review and discussion, before a consolidated consensus view is provided to CDC in the form of a report (including a minority opinion report, if applicable).

Technical and Analytical Assistance in Evaluating Vaccination Coverage in Children, Adolescents and Adults

CCI has been contracted to provide epidemiological and statistical support to the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Immunization Services Division (ISD), Assessment Branch for the conduct of surveys, research, and analytical studies evaluating vaccination coverage amongst children, adolescents and adults in U.S.-affiliated jurisdictions.
